Label maker extraordinaire.  Once you have one of these babies everything needs a label.  There is no end to where you can put a label, especially the nice looking ones that you can make with this machine.  I have had it for a long time and gone through way too many label cartridges.  I still love printing the labels.  Oh brother, my brother.  Maybe it is some sort of fettish.....  But I do love the labels.

Remember the old Sesame Street segment....one of these things just doesn't belong here?  That is the memory invoked by today's image.  I liked the contrasting black, white and red.  Yet the polka dots just looked different than the checkers squares.  As I ran the image through post-processing the old TV program segment just kept running through my mind.

The kitchen factory is humming...

Hand dipped white chocolate pretzels.  The testing is complete. The high volume process has started.  The factory is humming.  The goal--1,200 of these little sweet-n-salty treats will be prepared, wrapped in a bag, placed in a hand-made box with an inspirational message and then tied with a colorful ribbon.  All for a special occasion coming soon...

Stacked and Racked

So when my wife is shopping I get to wander around with my camera snapping photos using the volume button as the shutter release.  That way I can hold the camera/phone discretely and capture all kinds of different angles and images.  Then as she heads into the dressing room I can sit down and process some images while I wait.  Here is one of the results of that very process.  A stack of clothes laid over a rack of clothes.

Shopping at sunset

Out shopping for the evening--well I should say I/m out accompanying my wife who is shopping for the evening.  She knows exactly what she wants and where to find it.  Luckily for me she left the discount coupon in the car.  Being the helpful spouse I am I volunteered to go retrieve the coupon.  As I stepped outside this is the scene I found--a gorgeous sunset with two large jet vapor trails crossing the sky.  It took only a few moments to whip out my camera--the one I always have with me--and capture this image.  Now what did I come outside for....?

Car wash reflections

This colorful car wash provided several photo opportunities just after the sun set.  This is the third in a series of products that came from our visit.  I like the reflection of the shades off the top of my dirty car roof in this image.  Yep, this is definitely the most colorful car wash within 50 miles.

One sweet smelling money changing machine...

Out at the colorful car wash in town.  The old pine tree air freshener is still around.  It seems I remember that hanging air freshener clear back in my grandfather's day.  I never have been one to hang an air freshener in my car--those artificial odors are worse than what they try to mask--well in most cars anyway.  I do, however, love the new car smell of a car with leather seats.  Now, that I could go for.  Only the actual smell however because even the air freshener new car "flavor" that tries to replicate it simply does not come close IMO.

Pinkie Pie - evidence of a grand daughter's visit

Easter holiday weekend and we got a surprise short visit from our Arizona grand kids.  My Little Pony Pinkie Pie here is evidence of our sweet grand daughter's presence--she turns five years old tomorrow.  It was wonderful to see the whole crew -- even if only for a few days.

Time for an evening car wash

This car wash has the brightest colors around and they really come alive as the sun sets and the lights come on under the canvas shades.  As I drove by I had to stop to take a few pictures.  Although it is very colorful, I am picky about my car washes.  Since I needed a lazy man's wash tonight I took my pictures here and then drove over to the car wash that had what I needed.  So I did get the car washed, just not at this one.  But the place I used was too dull and boring to offer any good picture opportunities.

Busted! Caught in the act with all the evidence...

My daughter made some hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries.  Man, oh man are they ever tasty when the chocolate is still warm and has not yet hardened!  Of course it did not take long for Lego Man Joe to discover the freshly prepared treats.  The smell of warm chocolate attracts all kinds of folks.  Joe thought he might be sneaky here but was busted in action and caught with all the evidence....

A piece of white paper in the background eliminated distractions.  Another piece of white paper in the front of the setting, just out of the image, reflected some light back into Joe's face.  Then a bit of post-processing finished up the final image.  A toothpick was used to distribute the "evidence" on strategic parts of Joe and to create the mess in the chocolate.

Slot canyon training

Ode to bobsledders

This is the four man bobsled museum display piece at the Utah Olympic Park.  You can climb in and imagine just what a bobsled run might be like.  Or you can even come and actually take a ride on a bobsled with wheels during the summer season.  I have done that once.  And once is about all I ever want to do of that.  It is a bone rattling, fast moving, g-force generating ride.  I would have enjoyed it much more in my younger days.  However, it has been checked off on my bucket list.

Utah Olympic Sports Park has a museum dedicated to all things Winter Olympic and snow sport related.  This guy hangs from the ceiling in one of the hallways.  You can see a snowboarder hanging in the background.  Makes me miss the mountain already.  Although it is early spring there is still a bit a melting snow on the ground around the museum.  But spring has sprung and the sun is shining now.

The Drop Zone

Yesterday I posted an image of Lego Man Joe checking out the high diving board.  To show Joe that he is not the only one who can jump, we found "The Drop" at the Utah Olympic Sports Park.  A long zip line ride takes the victim to the top of the drop tower where the only way down is to jump off the 65 foot high platform.  No worries, there is a pit of wood shavings at the bottom.  Oh, and they do offer two different belaying systems--the "Aggressive" and the "Wimp" ride.  But then again, anyone who steps off the 65 foot high edge is no wimp.....

The ghost of white chocolate is watching

A little experimentation is going on in our kitchen involving white chocolate, pretzels, and various kids of sprinkles.  I can't say these are my favorite by any means.  However, the sweet chocolate mixed with the salty pretzels...well, I have eaten a few.  Okay, maybe more than just a few...

The more I look at this final image, the more it looks like the face of a ghost with two wide eyes and an open mouth.  Hence the title relating to the ghost of white chocolate.
